Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for one or more full-time open-rank positions at Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the Department of Public Health. The appointments commence May 1, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidates will conduct research at a high international level, teach at Bachelor’s and Master’s level, supervise PhD students, and contribute to strengthening the department’s national and international profile.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline with potential for international recognition.
• Proven research and teaching experience; ability to develop an independent research agenda.
• Experience with international collaboration and external funding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research and publish in leading journals.
• Develop research profile and seek external funding.
• Teach and supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students; contribute to innovative teaching.
• Mentor PhD students and engage in the department’s activities and culture.
