Job summary

The research unit of the Department of Affective Disorders at Aarhus University Hospital is seeking candidates for a fixed-term position (18 months) as researcher focusing on developing machine learning algorithms to predict clinical outcomes in patients with mental illness.

The unit comprises a professor and about 20 full- and part-time researchers, offering a strong interdisciplinary environment with close collaboration to clinical teams and opportunities for national and international

Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning research using health data (ideally journal data).
• Formal research training.
• Experience with publication of research data in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong collaboration skills and experience with interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Understands, speaks and can write Danish and English (data include Danish journal text).

Responsibilities

• Independent research focusing on development and validation of machine learning algorithms.
• Publication of research results.
• Sparring with other researchers in the research unit.
• Contributing to grant applications.
• Participation in seminars and conferences.
• Supervision of younger researchers and students.
