Job summary

KOSMOS in Copenhagen seeks an experienced Associate Director - Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across MEP projects for global clients. You will manage procurement, cost planning, risk, and final accounts, collaborating with BIM and cost teams.

Qualifications

A recognised qualification in mechanical/building services engineering (BEng/MEng or significant experience).
Proven track record of delivering cost management/quantity surveying across full project lifecycle.
RICS or similar qualification, or working towards.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects.
Experience delivering MEP elements for clients.
Knowledge and contacts within the MEP supply chain.
Experience with digital software for cost management (preferable).
Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills.
Excellent communicator, client-facing and team-based.
Experience with global clients (preferable).
Quantity surveying/commercial management qualification (Level 7/degree) preferable.

Responsibilities

Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports.
Estimating and cost planning to include presenting the final cost plan to clients.
Working with BIM experts to produce detailed 4D/5D estimates.
Tendering and procurement support, including ICMS-based BoQs and tender analysis.
Running risk management sessions and managing project risks.
Dealing with post-contract cost variances and change control.
Carrying out cost checks and valuations on larger projects.
Producing monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
Inputting into value engineering.
Assisting with negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
Interfacing with the client and other consultants at all stages.
Leading a cost management team where appropriate.
Occasional international travel and office visits to integrate with the KOSMOS community.
