Job summary

Jones Engineering seeks a Mechanical QAQC Engineer to oversee field-quality inspections of mechanical installations at our Copenhagen projects. You will review drawings, P&IDs, test packs, and support turnover activities to ensure compliance with client standards and safety requirements.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background, site QAQC experience, and the ability to read P&IDs and GA drawings.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in mechanical construction, commissioning, QAQC or related site-based roles.
• Ability to read P&IDs, Isometrics, GA Drawings and Vendor Documentation.
• Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling water, and mechanical piping systems.
• Experience with data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, industrial or mission critical projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field-based quality inspections and verification of mechanical installations.
• Perform line walking activities and system walkdowns throughout construction and turnover phases.
• Verify installations against approved drawings, specifications, P&IDs, method statements, and client standards.
• Complete installation qualification inspections and associated quality documentation.
• Review and manage mechanical test packs and turnover documentation.
• Review weld traceability records, weld maps and supporting quality documentation.
• Witness pressure testing, flushing, and cleaning activities.
• Support mechanical completion and turnover activities in accordance with project requirements.
• Complete quality workflows and inspection records within project management and commissioning platforms.
• Coordinate quality inspections with construction, commissioning, and subcontractor teams.
• Identify, record and drive closure of defects and non-conformances.
• Participate in benchmarking and First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) installation reviews.
• Attend quality meetings with project management, construction, and subcontractor teams.
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with Company and Client Health & Safety requirements.
• Support generation and implementation of project Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Assist with client inspections, witness testing, and system handovers.
