Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or building plans to determine project specifications.
• Measure and mark surfaces for brick, stone or tile.
• Mix mortar or adhesives according to formulas.
• Lay bricks or other materials to form walls, arches and structures.
• Cut or shape bricks with hammers, chisels or power tools.
• Install firebrick linings in industrial furnaces.
• Repair and maintain existing masonry structures.
