Job summary

Ultrabulk is seeking a motivated Law student in their final year to join the Legal & Claims team in Copenhagen area. The role combines practical support with legal analysis across our global business, involving diverse tasks from research to drafting and claims handling.

You will gain exposure to contracts, maritime law, and cross-border commercial work while collaborating with a multicultural team. Flexible 2-3 day weeks, with busier periods during holidays and exam times.

Qualifications

• Law student in final year with keen interest in how legal work applies in a shipping company.
• Interest in shipping, maritime law, and commercial contracts is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with legal research in shipping and maritime law.
• Draft and review clauses, contracts and other legal documents.
• Support claims handling and assist with smaller legal matters and disputes.
• Help structure external lawyers, arbitrators and claims processes.
• Prepare presentations and internal updates for the Legal & Claims team.
• Participate in meetings with external lawyers and advisors.
• Support corporate, M&A and commercial contract matters as needed.
