Job summary

Novo Nordisk Engineering (NNE) in Denmark seeks a Senior Manager for Engineering Systems to lead a team of 10 engineers and shape the future of the engineering software landscape. You will drive AI initiatives, digital transformation, and lifecycle management of licenses across Denmark and India.

Qualifications

• Degree in data science, engineering, information technology or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in engineering systems, digital solutions or technology management.
• Experience managing software portfolios, vendors, licenses or enterprise applications.
• Experience leading teams and developing employees in a technical environment.
• Strong written and spoken English with global collaboration experience.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager who is ready to lead our Engineering Systems department with 10 specialized engineers and shape the next generation of NNE’s engineering software and AI usuage landscape. In this role, you will bring together people leadership, stakeholder engagement, digital transformation, and AI initiatives to build engineering systems that create real business impact - today and tomorrow. For the engineering software landscape, you will continuously improve and execute a life-cycle management process for licenses and application performance.

For the AI usage landscape, you will support and assist the VP area in assessing whether a proven solution already exists on the market, whether it needs to be built internally, and what that would realistically take. In close collaboration with stakeholders across NNE and colleagues in India, you will drive standardization, spark innovation, and accelerate the adoption of new technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.

A key part of the role is to spot opportunities, turn ideas into action, and implement AI-enabled solutions that boost engineering productivity, quality, and efficiency - helping shape the future of engineering at NNE.

• One thing is your degree, which can be in data science, engineering, information technology or a related discipline but, what is key is an experience working with digitalization and software engineering within pharma or food manufacturing .
• 8-10 years of experience working with Engineering systems, digital solutions or technology management.
• Experience managing software portfolios, vendors, licenses or enterprise applications.
• Experience leading teams and developing employees in a technical environment.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English, with experience working across global organizations.
