Job description

Location: Lem St, Region Central Jutland, DK, 6940

Work experience: Specialist

Type of position: Full-Time

Job Family: Supply Chain and Logistics

Do you thrive on creating flow, stability, and reliable results in production – not only inside the factory, but across the wider supply chain? Join our Logistics team at the Blade Component factory in Lem, where logistics is a key enabler of safe, stable, and efficient production.

We work at the heart of operations, connecting global planning, procurement, suppliers, and local warehouse execution to ensure the right materials are available at the right time and in the right condition.

Vestas Technology & Operations > Manufacturing > Factory Logistics

We are looking for a Logistics Specialist who is motivated by improvement, ownership, and collaboration. In this role, you’ll take responsibility for improving our end‑to‑end material flow, increasing operational performance, and supporting production through structure, transparency, and data‑driven decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement optimization opportunities across planning, sourcing, and warehouse processes to reduce indirect hours and support stable production output.
  • Manage and support continuous improvements in material flow, inventory accuracy, and logistics execution.
  • Ensure consistent operational follow‑up by analyzing bottlenecks, deviations, and root causes – and initiating effective corrective actions.
  • Support production with a fact‑based approach, ensuring transparency on material readiness, shelf‑life management, FIFO principles, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate closely with planners, buyers, warehouse teams, and production to ensure efficient coordination and fast problem‑solving.
  • Contribute to standardization and process discipline, ensuring logistics processes are consistently followed and continuously improved.
  • Manage freight and inventory budgeting and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Background in logistics, supply chain management, operations, or a related field – through education and/or relevant experience.
  • Solid understanding of end‑to‑end supply chains, including interfaces between suppliers, global planning, procurement, and factory execution.
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to identify optimization potential across planning, sourcing, and warehouse processes.
  • Experience with SAP (S/4HANA), material master data, inventory follow‑up, and end‑to‑end material flow.
  • A structured, fact‑based working style with the ability to translate data into clear actions and tangible improvements.
  • Experience working with standard work, process discipline, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration across functions.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, be responsible for tasks, and complete tasks on schedule.
  • Ability to maintain and improve PFEP (Plan For Every Part).
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
Competencies
  • Solid problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • A forward‑thinking approach that prioritizes preventing problems before they arise.
  • A structured and organized working style, ensuring prioritization, clarity, and follow‑through in a changing operational environment.
  • Ability to interpret data effectively, translate insights into practical actions, and spot opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to stay focused and solution‑oriented, consistently finding ways forward when priorities change.
What We Offer

We provide extensive professional and personal development opportunities in an inspiring, international renewable energy environment. You’ll join a highly professional and inclusive team that values initiative, ownership, and collaboration.

This role offers a unique opportunity to improve both factory logistics performance and supply chain stability, while working closely with global stakeholders to support a rapidly evolving production setup.
