Your Impact In This Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Lead Frontend Engineer (m/f) to shape the architecture and delivery of our cloud‑based SaaS applications for Global Construction software platform. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy balancing technical strategy with implementation and want to influence how scalable frontend platforms are built and operated.

You will join the team 'Product Line Collaboration'; an in‑house design and engineering group connecting office and construction‑site workflows through focused digital tools. You will work closely with Product management, UX, Backend Engineering, QA, DevOps, platform, and teams across a geographically distributed organization. We aspire to be the global powerhouse providing innovative software solutions for the Construction Industry. Are you ready for it?

Division: Product

You will report to: Head of R&D, Collaboration Product Line

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture, design, development, testing, and delivery of performant, accessible, and maintainable frontend applications.
  • Define clear frontend boundaries, integration contracts, reusable patterns, golden paths, and scalable delivery standards, including micro-frontends, shared platform capabilities, APIs, backend-for-frontend patterns, versioning, and compatibility.
  • Document significant decisions, review frontend Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), evaluate trade-offs, and challenge short-term solutions that create unnecessary long-term risk.
  • Drive engineering quality through automated testing, code review, performance, accessibility, observability, secure coding, and production readiness.
  • Use AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve analysis, prototyping, implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and documentation, with proper validation and human review.
  • Translate product and design intent into technically sound, design‑system‑aligned solutions without creating unnecessary central dependencies or blocking product teams.
  • Mentor engineers, raise the quality of technical discussions, and help teams move from broad requirements to clear, deliverable solutions.
  • Support existing applications, lead incremental modernization, and define practical migration and deprecation paths where needed.
  • Work in agile product teams using Scrum practices and collaborate across a geographically distributed engineering organization.
Your Profile
  • React and TypeScript: 6+ years of hands‑on experience building and operating production web applications with React and TypeScript.
  • Architecture: Proven experience designing and evolving frontend architecture, defining boundaries, assessing trade‑offs, and guiding implementation across teams.
  • Technical leadership: Demonstrated ability to define standards, review technical decisions, mentor engineers, and influence teams without relying only on formal authority.
  • Modern web engineering: Strong understanding of component architecture, state and data management, API integration, performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
  • System thinking: Experience balancing team autonomy, shared platform needs, delivery speed, technical debt, and long‑term maintainability.
  • AI‑enabled development: Practical experience using AI‑assisted development tools responsibly to improve engineering outcomes rather than replace engineering judgement.
  • Communication and ownership: Strong written and verbal communication, clear ownership, and the ability to turn ambiguity into concrete decisions and actions.
  • Delivery discipline: Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD, cloud environments, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, and modern engineering workflows.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. We value demonstrated experience, technical judgement, continuous learning, and evidence of impact over academic credentials.
  • Language Skills: you’ll bring very good English language skills, written and spoken (minimum C1 level)
Nice to Have
  • Experience with micro‑frontends, domain‑driven design, backend‑for-frontend patterns, or multi‑team SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with design systems, Figma‑to‑code workflows, component libraries, cross‑product frontend governance, or user‑facing AI capabilities.
  • Hands‑on experience with Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, Cypress, or comparable frontend testing tools.
  • Experience with observability, production support, secure development, and frontend platform modernization.
