Job summary

Gea Group in Skanderborg, within our Liquid Technologies department, seeks an experienced automation project manager to lead automation of complex projects lasting 12 to 18 months. You will collaborate with project execution team and colleagues to tailor solutions for production needs.

This role emphasizes managing scope, budget, schedule, and stakeholders, coordinating PLC/SCADA, FAT/SAT, and handover to service. Strong English and a technical background in automation are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience in automation engineering and project delivery within relevant industries.
• Knowledge of control technologies, industrial communication, and automation documentation.
• Experience with supplier management, project planning, budget and schedule monitoring, FAT/SAT, commissioning and handover.
• English language proficiency at a professional level.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Plan deliverables, milestones and resources in line with the project plan.
• Coordinate PLC and software development, HMI/SCADA, process control and instrumentation integration.
• Manage external suppliers and subcontractors, including scope, costs and delivery.
• Plan and coordinate FAT and SAT, support commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure complete automation documentation and structured handover to customer and service.
