Job summary

BioInnovation Institute (BII) in Copenhagen invites applications for a Student Assistant to support day-to-day lab operations and a range of practical tasks, helping keep our laboratories running smoothly and safely while backing cutting-edge life science innovations. The role offers 10–15 hours per week, preferably in the afternoons, with flexibility for exams.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled as a student with at least two years remaining.
Proficient in Danish and English, written and spoken.
Experience with laboratory equipment and safety practices.
Able to plan and execute daily tasks independently.
Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Bringing out cardboard and waste at the end of the day.
Filling up consumables at the end of the day.
Carry out laboratory cleaning and sanitation tasks.
Operating the dishwasher and autoclave and supporting related activities.
Preparing and maintaining the laboratories in a prime state to enable our projects to perform.
Encouraging users to maintain good and safe laboratory practices.
