Job summary

NextWave Publications is seeking a highly motivated Junior DevOps Developer to join our team in the Faroe-Islands. This contract role offers a starting salary of 1100$ per month, with opportunities to work closely with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery.

You will design, develop and maintain automated deployment systems, monitor performance, and help maintain infrastructure for testing, staging and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve software delivery processes
• Design, develop and maintain automated deployment systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues
