Job summary

Orifarm, a leading European pharmaceutical company, seeks an IT Business Partner for Pharma Trade to shape strategic priorities and drive digital innovation across the value chain. You will collaborate with senior leaders to translate business strategy into a value-driven technology roadmap and ensure measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT business partnering, IT strategy, digital transformation, technology consulting, product ownership, or a similar cross-functional IT role.
• Experience from life sciences is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Good understanding of enterprise IT, business applications, architecture, integrations, software delivery, and implementation processes.
• Understanding of commercial and operational processes such as business development, product and portfolio management, sourcing and supply planning, pricing, forecasting, and allocation.
• Experience with product-oriented delivery, demand management, business cases, prioritization, and benefits realization.
• Analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary strategic IT partner and point of contact for new technology demand across Pharma Trade.
• Build and maintain a consolidated, value-based technology roadmap for Pharma Trade in close collaboration with business leadership and the Pharma Trade Solutions team.
• Develop a deep understanding of Pharma Trade’s end-to-end value chain, business processes, decision points, data needs, and application landscape.
• Identify, assess, and develop digital opportunities that can improve gross margin, commercial decision-making, scalability, time-to-market, supply visibility, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure that initiatives are prioritized across the entire Pharma Trade domain rather than optimized for individual functions or markets.
• Challenge business demand constructively and distinguish between underlying business problems, requested features, and appropriate technology solutions.
• Secure clear business ownership of business cases, benefits, process decisions, data, adoption, and value realization.
• Coordinate early involvement from Product Owners, Solution Architecture, Data & Analytics, Integration, Cyber Security, Compliance, and other shared IT functions.

About the job

You will work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across Pharma Trade to understand business strategy, commercial priorities, operational challenges, and digital opportunities. You will shape demand and identify how technology can improve decision-making, gross margin, operational scalability, process efficiency, and execution across the Pharma Trade value chain.

You will play a central role in developing and maintaining the technology roadmap for Pharma Trade. This includes connecting needs and opportunities across Business Development, Product Supply, Portfolio Management, Hospital and Tender Management, Regulatory, Sales, and other relevant functions.

Working closely with the Head of Pharma Trade Solutions, Product Owner, delivery teams, and shared IT functions, you will ensure that demand is clearly understood, prioritized, qualified, and prepared for successful delivery. You will help move Pharma Trade towards a coherent, scalable, and value-driven digital landscape.

Your focus will not only be on identifying new initiatives, but also on ensuring that technology investments lead to measurable business outcomes and support the long-term transformation of Pharma Trade.

You are a senior, business-oriented IT professional who combines strong stakeholder management with a structured and analytical approach to technology demand and business value.

You understand both business priorities and IT delivery realities. You are comfortable engaging with senior leaders, but you also have enough technology understanding to challenge, shape, and qualify ideas before they become projects.

You bring:

• Experience in IT business partnering, IT strategy, digital transformation, technology consulting, product ownership, or a similar cross-functional IT role
