Job summary

Aarhus University’s Department of Computer Science seeks a student to craft authentic, engaging content for its Instagram channel @cs.au.dk. You’ll work with the Communications Manager and independently identify stories from daily student life, events and activities to showcase the department.

The role starts 15 November 2026 and requires 5 hours per week. Candidates must be enrolled students with social content experience and ability to film/edit short-form videos; English fluency is essential,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student.
• Experience creating content for social media.
• Ability to independently film and edit short-form video content (e.g., Instagram Reels).
• Experience with Canva or similar tools.
• Comfortable approaching and interviewing fellow students and appearing on camera.
• Able to work independently and develop an idea from concept to published content.
• Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, film and edit Reels about student life, events, courses, projects and people at the department.
• Create posts, memes and stories – from vox pops and interviews to behind-the-scenes content.
• Create content for and about current students, and for recruitment nationally and internationally.
• Showcase student projects and research activities, communicating student life and academic work.
• Cover student-related events and activities and provide authentic insight into life at the department.
• Appear on camera and host when relevant.
• Identify stories and trends relevant to current and prospective students.
• Contribute ideas and inspiration to social media planning.
