Job summary

Nordea is seeking an Information Architect who will help define and evolve enterprise information foundations that enable data products, AI adoption and enterprise interoperability across the bank. You will craft semantic foundations, canonical models and industry-standard taxonomies to create a common understanding of information for multiple domains.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information modelling, information architecture, data architecture or related disciplines.
• Experience developing conceptual, logical and physical information models.
• Experience with business glossaries, metadata management, taxonomies and semantic modelling.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Experience working in agile environments across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in enabling Nordea’s strategic Data and AI transformation by ensuring consistent business terminology, reusable information structures, semantic alignment and scalable information models across domain-owned data products.
• Develop, implement and maintain canonical models, conceptual models and logical information models supporting the data product lifecycle.
• Drive enterprise-wide information standardization across domains and promote reuse of information assets.
• Act as a trusted advisor on Information Architecture topics for strategic initiatives and transformation programmes.
• Take an active role in relevant Data Councils, ensuring that Logical and Conceptual models are integrated closer.
• Support the continued development of Nordea’s Information Architecture framework including BIM, CIM, canonical modelling and taxonomy standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Data Governance and Enterprise Architecture to ensure consistency across business capabilities, processes and information structures.
• Drive metadata management, lineage and business glossary activities in a federated data product environment.
• Leverage AI, automation and advanced analytical techniques to accelerate modelling, semantic discovery and information architecture practices.
• Facilitate modelling workshops and establish best practices for information architecture.
• Work in a federated model engaging business SMEs & data modelers in IT across domains.

Then you might be the colleague we are looking for in Information Architecture team within Group Data Management’s Data Architecture & Governance unit.

We are looking for an Information Architects who will play a key role in building Nordea’s enterprise Information Architecture capability. You will help define the information foundations that enable data products, AI adoption, enterprise interoperability and consistent business understanding across the bank.

About our team

Meet the Information Architecture team. Our role is to define and evolve enterprise information standards, taxonomies, canonical models and semantic foundations across Nordea. We work closely with business stakeholders, Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture and domain teams to ensure that information is treated as a strategic enterprise asset.

Main responsibilities in this role:

• Play a key role in enabling Nordea’s strategic Data and AI transformation by ensuring consistent business terminology, reusable information structures, semantic alignment and scalable information models across domain‑owned data products.

Who you are

You possess solid experience in conceptual, logical and physical information modelling, with proven experience evolving models over time. You are motivated by creating enterprise standards, solving semantic challenges and bringing stakeholders together around a common understanding of information.

Your background and skills include:

• 5+ years of experience in information modelling, information architecture, data architecture, data analytics or related disciplines.
• Practical experience developing and maintaining conceptual, logical and physical information models.
• Experience with business glossaries, metadata management, taxonomies and semantic modelling.
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
• Experience working in agile environments and collaborating across multiple domains.
• Understanding of modern data architecture principles including Data Mesh, Data Products and Data Governance is a plus.

It would be ideal if you also:

• You bring a strong domain knowledge from Business, Data councils or Warehouses or similar adding your unique experience.
• Establishing enterprise information standards across large organizations.
• Facilitating cross-domain alignment and resolving semantic conflicts.
• Working with multi‑tool environments separating conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Financial services, risk, regulatory reporting or other complex data‑intensive domains.
• AI‑enabled modelling, knowledge graphs or semantic technologies.
