Job summary

KPMG Denmark is seeking a data-driven consultant to join its Financial Services Advisory team in Copenhagen. You’ll analyse data, build models, and deliver dashboards for banks and financial institutions, using SQL, Python, SAS, Excel and Power BI.

With 1–4 years’ experience, you’ll contribute to risk and regulatory data projects and help turn complex datasets into practical business insights. You’ll work closely with clients and colleagues, travel occasionally, and enjoy flexible,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative or data-related field.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in banking, consultancy, or data analytics.
• Hands-on experience with data extraction, preparation, quality, analysis, reporting, or dashboarding.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to structure complex problems and derive actionable insights.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, SAS, Excel, Power BI; knowledge of credit risk modelling, IFRS 9, BCBS 239 is a plus.
• Fluent in English, with clear client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Support data analysis, data quality assessments, reporting, and analytical insights across banking and financial services.
• Contribute to development, validation, and implementation of credit risk models and related governance.
• Transform and automate large datasets from banking processes and regulatory reporting.
• Support data governance, BCBS 239, data lineage, controls, and management reporting.
• Develop analyses, dashboards, and quantitative solutions using SQL, Python, SAS, Excel, and Power BI.
• Present data-driven findings and recommendations in client-ready formats.
• Participate in client meetings and proposals as part of the advisory team.
