Aarhus University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Human Security within the Department of Anthropology. The position combines teaching and research and will commence on 1 September 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The appointee will coordinate the interdisciplinary master's program in Human Security and contribute to BA, MA, and PhD education. Candidates should hold a PhD, have a strong ethnographic research profile, and proven teaching ability in English.

Formación

• PhD degree or equivalent in Human Security or related field.
• Documented teaching qualifications for BA/MA/PhD programs.
• International publication record or list of publications in human security.
• Substantial ethnographic/field-based research experience.
• Teaching in English at BA/MA/PhD levels.
• Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and external funding.
• Experience supervising student projects and developing talent.
• Engagement with governmental, NGO, or civil society stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Teach and supervise students across BA/MA/PhD programs in Human Security.
• Coordinate the interdisciplinary MA program in Human Security.
• Contribute to curriculum development and core courses in anthropology.
• Engage in knowledge exchange with governmental, NGO and international partners.
• Develop doctoral training and supervise MA/PhD candidates.
