Job summary

ByteGrid Talent Services is seeking a Preservation Architect to join our Greenland team. You will preserve and restore historic buildings, ensuring their longevity and cultural value while coordinating with architects, engineers and contractors.

You will assess conditions, develop preservation plans, oversee implementation, and ensure compliance with preservation standards and regulations set by authorities. Collaboration and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in historic preservation projects.
  • Knowledge of preservation principles, techniques and materials.
  • Familiarity with local or national regulations related to historic preservation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed surveys and assessments of historical buildings to determine their condition.
  • Develop preservation plans that consider structural integrity, historical significance and cultural value.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to implement preservation plans.
  • Ensure all work meets preservation standards and regulations set by authorities.
  • Research historical materials and techniques to inform restoration processes.
  • Document all stages of the preservation process for records.
  • Prepare reports on the condition of buildings and project progress.
  • Communicate with clients or stakeholders to provide updates.
