Job summary

Aalborg CSP is seeking a process engineer focused on thermal systems to advance heat transfer, energy storage, and high‑temperature integration projects. You will work on Molten salt and thermal oil systems, developing calculations and tools in MATLAB/Simulink.

The role suits a structured, independent engineer who communicates in English and collaborates with multicultural teams across Europe. Hybrid work is supported, with no relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

Engineering degree in energy, process, mechanical engineering or similar.
Strong experience with thermodynamics, heat transfer and complex thermal systems.
Knowledge of integrated energy systems, solar thermal and energy storage is a plus.
Mature documentation skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develop heat and mass balances for large-scale thermal systems using molten salt and thermal oil.
Carry out thermal process calculations: pressure drop, flow and temperature profiles, heat exchanger sizing.
Develop and maintain calculation tools in MATLAB/Simulink.
Coordinate tasks and report progress to the project manager.
Review documents and propose corrective actions; ensure QA/QC compliance.
Support R&D/EU projects with thermal inputs and deliverables, coordinating with international teams.
Interface with clients to translate requirements into technical specifications.
