Job summary

Topsoe seeks a seasoned Head of Public Affairs, Denmark, to lead the political strategy and regulatory engagement in Denmark. You will be the trusted interlocutor with government officials, regulators, and industry associations, guiding policy alignment with global business objectives.

As head of PA in DK, you will monitor regulatory developments, build coalitions, and partner with global teams to ensure Danish initiatives support Topsoe’s sustainable future and market leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of government affairs or related experience in Denmark.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in strategic advocacy and lobbying to shape policy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Danish public affairs campaigns aligned with corporate objectives.
• Monitor Danish policy developments and translate trends into actionable business intelligence.
• Build, maintain and leverage relationships with policymakers, regulators, NGOs, think tanks and trade associations.
• Collaborate closely with global PA teams and internal business units to align Danish strategy with global goals.

The role and impact

As the Head of Public Affairs, Denmark, you will be the primary architect of our political strategy, regulatory advocacy, and reputational standing in Denmark. Operating in a highly visible role, you will bridge the gap between our global business goals and the unique Danish political and societal landscape. You will serve as the trusted face of the company to Danish government officials, regulators, trade associations, and civic leaders, while acting as a strategic advisor to our European executive leadership team. Your success in this role ensures that our business not only navigates complex regulatory frameworks but actively shapes the policies that define our industry's future in Denmark.

What you’ll bring

• Professional background: 15+ years of dedicated experience in government affairs, regulatory policy, public policy advocacy, or corporate-government relations in Denmark.
• Educational foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, International Relations, or a strictly related field.
• Strategic Advocacy & Lobbying: Develop and execute comprehensive public affairs campaigns to shape Danish policy in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Political & Regulatory Intelligence: Actively monitor, analyze, and anticipate legislative developments in government ministries and relevant Danish agencies, translating complex political trends into actionable business intelligence for global leadership.
• Stakeholder & Coalition Building: Build, maintain, and leverage a robust network of relationships with Danish policymakers, regulators, NGOs, think tanks, and industry trade associations (e.g., Dansk Industri). Lead management of framework agreement with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs supporting engagement in regions across the world where Topsoe does not have a PA presence and collaborating closely with the regional PA teams, eg Brussels, etc. where we do.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with internal business units and communication teams to ensure Danish public affairs strategies support global corporate initiatives and commercial goals.

Your new team

The Head of PA, DK will report to the Head of Global Public Affairs and work closely with the broader Global Public Affairs team, with colleagues in Copenhagen, Brussels, the Middle East and Washington, DC.
