Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Category Specialist for Warehousing & Customs to drive strategic sourcing, manage key supplier partnerships, and ensure compliant warehousing and customs solutions across global operations.

You will join an international team within the Logistics Procurement Department and contribute to safeguarding capacity, safety, and cost competitiveness while supporting Vestas' renewable energy ambitions.

Qualifications

• Experience in global procurement and strategic sourcing.
• Knowledge of warehousing networks and contract management.
• Ability to translate data into actionable decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management across regions.
• Proven negotiation experience with 3PLs and customs brokers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the global subject matter expert for warehousing operations, driving best practices and aligning warehouse solutions with regional needs.
• Lead the global Warehousing & Customs category with autonomy, owning sourcing decisions and supplier strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships, including sourcing, tendering, contract negotiations, and performance management of warehouses, 3PLs, and customs brokers.
• Act as the category expert for customs and international trade, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations.
• Monitor market developments and risks to drive proactive category and supplier strategies.
• Establish and track KPIs, analytics, and reporting to measure performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and cross-functional collaboration across end-to-end supply chain.
