Job summary

LEGO Group in Billund, Denmark, seeks a Senior Manager for Sustainable Operations to translate energy, water and waste ambitions into practical design choices across LEGO factories.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design and site teams, set sustainability criteria, influence technology decisions, and partner with suppliers to embed advanced sustainability technologies into the Equipment Technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental/engineering field.
• Experience leading sustainability projects across global manufacturing/operations.
• Experience in manufacturing/engineering environments with proven project delivery.
• Ability to present clear materials for senior leaders and technical partners.
• Knowledge of Science Based Targets and energy technologies in production.
• Change management and stakeholder influence in a matrix organisation.

Responsibilities

• Influence technology choices and machine design to reduce energy, carbon, water, and waste from outset.
• Set sustainability criteria across platforms and develop roadmaps for efficient equipment and processes.
• Build feedback loops between manufacturing data and design teams to improve future specifications.
• Define governance and decision rights for sustainable design across equipment and manufacturing.
• Partner with equipment suppliers to embed sustainability technologies into roadmaps.
• Bridge Sustainability with R&D/Technology teams to drive collaboration.
