Job summary

GEA is seeking a Social Media Operations Assistant to join the Digital Channels team within Group Communications and Brand. This hands-on student position focuses on governance of GEA's social media ecosystem and helping teams worldwide manage presence while ensuring compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with social media management platforms or digital collaboration tools is an advantage.
• Curious about digital communication, social media platforms, and the technologies that support them.
• Interested in data, reporting, and using insights to improve ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the administration and maintenance of GEA's social media management platform, including user access, permissions, account setup, and platform governance
• Assisting colleagues across the organization with onboarding, training, and support related to social media tools, processes, and best practices
• Helping manage and maintain GEA's global social media account inventory, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date
• Supporting the implementation and optimization of employee advocacy and social media enablement initiatives
• Assisting with social media reporting by collecting, organizing, and analyzing channel performance data and operational metrics
• Exploring opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and efficiencies through digital tools and AI-supported solutions
• Monitoring platform developments, emerging features, and changes in the social media landscape that may impact business use
