Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Denmark seeks a senior leader to head the Bioreactor Scale-Up team, driving global vision and strategy for modeling and simulation of mammalian cell culture processes. You will lead model development, coordinate across sites, and engage with customers to tailor scale-up solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Ph.D./MSc in chemical or biochemical engineering with 10+ years in bioreactor scale-up, plus strong communication and leadership skills to manage a cross-functional team

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MSc in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or similar with minimum 10 years of industry experience in bioreactor scale-up modeling and simulation of cell culture processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the strategic vision for the scale-up team.
• Align with global scale-up teams to ensure unified strategies.
• Develop and execute methodologies for scaling cell culture processes from bench top to large scale bioreactors across various sites.
• Collaborate with cross-site Process Development Teams to transition laboratory processes to pilot and production scale.
• Serve as the primary point of contact to customers in relation to scaling of their processes.
• Analyze data and identify areas for process improvement for ongoing programs in the production pipeline.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in bioreactor design and simulation.
