Newrest Denmark is seeking a warehouse Inventory Controller to ensure accurate daily inventory and full counts in our Dragør facility near Copenhagen Airport. You will play a key role in receiving, counting, labeling, and organizing products, while maintaining codified dates and proper storage.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and English proficiency with Danish preferred. Forklift experience is a plus and candidates must be eligible to work in Denmark.

Job description

The role in Supply is a vital part of Newrest’s operations, and contributes to a safe, accurate and efficient operation of the warehouse inventory. This role ensures that the inventory is accurate daily and that full Inventory counts are done according to local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assisting when needed and the first point of entry for our products
• Restacking pallets for counting date coding and item numbering
• Rejecting any product that does not meet our quality standards

Inventory Control

• Ensuring all boxes have codes, receipt dates and expiration dates
• First in First Out (FIFO) – First Expired First Out (FEFO)
• Ensuring all boxes are closed and on pallets
• Ensuring any decanted products are in plastic crates
• Repacking pallets and putting them away into their correct locations

Communication

• Via messaging platforms
• Use Winrest to control our inventory

Gate Keeping

• Recounting any product that leaves the warehouse (Verification at the gate)
• Taking photos of products leaving the warehouse with the label showing
• Ensuring products are correctly decanted
• Ensuring the Output Forms (OF) are accurate on Winrest from other departments and from within the warehouse

Inventory Counts

• Daily cycle counts (Top moving and highest value)
• Change shifts to accommodate the Company inventory counts every 10 days
• Swap another day off to ensure that the full team is at the inventory count
• Participate in the counting and inputting of the inventory from start to finish
• Understand and be accountable for inventory discrepancies
• Ensure warehouse organization & stock rotation including cleanliness
• Reporting of discrepancies with corrective actions to stop issues reoccurring
• Compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.

Profile

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, stock counting, or logistics preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and preferably Danish (not a must)
• You must live in Denmark of Sweden. Applicants who do not live in Denmark or Sweden will not be taken into consideration.

Some of your tasks require lifting and pushing pallets in an occasionally cold environment, so you must be in good physical shape.

You must be able to perform and maintain a background check throughout the employment as you must be eligible for working in Denmark. This includes an unmarked criminal record.

Newrest Denmark is a French based catering company providing catering services to SAS in Copenhagen Airport. We are approximately 400 employees, located in Dragør close to the Airport.
