Job summary

• Solid management consulting background with real client-facing delivery in complex environments.
• Genuine engineering ability: produce production code and strong Python skills.
• Direct experience building with large language models: prompt engineering, agents, skills/tools, evaluation frameworks, deployment at scale.
• Active use of agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor in day-to-day work.
• Familiarity with MCP, sub-agents, RAG, and integrating AI with enterprise systems.
• High agency and comfort with ambiguity; able to progress when not everything is defined.
• Excellent communication with engineers and senior client stakeholders; clear, direct, no fluff.
• Willingness to embed with clients and travel as needed.
• Commercial experience at Senior Manager/Director level: spotting opportunities, shaping work, building client relationships.
• Genuinely curious about agentic AI and enterprise applications.
• Fluency in English and Danish.
• A relevant master's degree with strong results or equivalent depth of experience.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with client teams to take an AI solution from first conversation through to production.
• Run discovery and scoping yourself, then design and build the solution that solves the business problem.
• Write production code on client systems using Claude Code, Cursor and similar tools.
• Build for large language models: agents, skills/tools, MCP servers, sub-agents, evaluation frameworks, and integrations.
• Provide hands-on, white-glove deployment support that actually lands and gets used.
• Spread AI services across alliances and partnerships, turning field work into reusable patterns and assets.
• Operate within KPMG's Trusted AI framework to meet governance requirements.

Job description

We are growing fast and looking for an engineer who wants to sit where the consulting meets the code. Someone who can embed with a client, understand the business problem, and then build the AI solution themselves, in their environment, all the way to production.

This is a new kind of role for us, and a deliberate one. KPMG has signed a global alliance with Anthropic and brought Claude directly into the platform we use to serve clients, alongside our long-standing alliances with Microsoft and Google Cloud. We are building the team that turns those alliances into working solutions in the field. You will be at the front of that.

What you will be doing

You will embed with our clients and build. That means running the discovery yourself, scoping the problem, and then designing and writing the AI solution that solves it. You own the technical outcome from the first conversation to a solution running in production, not a slide deck that hands off to someone else.

A lot of the work is building for and with large language models: agents, skills and tools, MCP servers, sub-agents, evaluation frameworks, and the integrations that connect them to real client systems and data. You will write code most days, using agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor as a core part of how you work.

You will also help spread our AI services across the alliances KPMG is entering, with Anthropic and the global AI partnerships now taking shape. You turn rough, fast solutions built in the field into reusable assets the rest of the team can build on, so every engagement makes the next one faster. At Senior Manager and Director level, you carry commercial weight too: spotting opportunities, shaping proposals, and building client relationships that turn a single build into a lasting partnership.

A central part of the role is working with AI yourself. We use AI across everything we do, and as a Forward Deployed Engineer you set the standard for what good looks like, both inside the team and in front of the client.

In practice, that means:

• Embedding directly with client teams to take an AI solution from first conversation through to production.
• Running discovery and scoping yourself, then designing and building the solution that solves the business problem.
• Writing production code on client systems, using agentic coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor as a core part of how you work.
• Building for large language models: agents, skills and tools, MCP servers, sub-agents, evaluation frameworks, and the integrations that make them work.
• Providing hands-on, white glove deployment supports solutions that actually land and get used.
• Helping spread our AI services across the Anthropic alliance and the other global AI partnerships KPMG is entering.
• Turning field work into reusable patterns, assets, and standards that make the whole team faster.
• Working within KPMG's Trusted AI framework so everything you build stands up to the governance our clients require.

What we are looking for

You blend two things that rarely sit in the same person: a solid management consulting background and the ability to build real software for AI. You are as comfortable in a discovery workshop as you are in the editor, and you would rather ship a working solution than write about one. We are hiring across a wide band, from Senior Consultant to Director, and we will match the level to your experience and motivation.
