With sustainability at our core, our data centers run on renewable energy and are designed according to circular economy principles. Through innovative design, power efficiency, and intelligent operations, we deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure.

Headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland, atNorth operates eight data centers across the Nordics, with additional sites under development in Finland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

We combine world-class technology with a people-first culture built on collaboration, ownership, and trust, empowering our teams to grow, take responsibility, and make a real impact.

By joining our international team, you will help shape the future of sustainable digital infrastructure.

Financial Modelling Manager at atNorth

As a Financial Modeling Manager, you will build and enhance the financial models that support some of atNorth's most important business decisions, from new data centre developments and expansion projects to customer opportunities and long-term strategic planning. Working closely with finance, development, commercial and leadership teams, you will turn complex assumptions into robust financial insights that help guide investment and growth decisions.

This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys financial modelling, thrives in Excel, and takes pride in building models that are accurate, scalable and decision-ready.

Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain integrated financial models supporting long-term planning, forecasting and strategic scenarios.
  • Build and enhance business case models for new sites, expansion projects, customer opportunities and other strategic initiatives.
  • Analyse different scenarios, risks and sensitivities, and clearly communicate their financial impact.
  • Support planning cycles, investment cases and decision‑making forums with high‑quality analysis and insights.
  • Continuously improve existing models, tools and methodologies to increase accuracy, transparency and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain modelling standards, documentation and quality controls.
  • Work with stakeholders across the business to understand commercial, operational and development assumptions and translate them into financial models.
  • Explore opportunities to automate and improve modelling processes through better use of systems, data and technology.
Your profile:
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Several years of experience building complex financial models in areas such as corporate finance, investment analysis, infrastructure, energy, real estate or other capital‑intensive industries.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of modelling principles and best practices.
  • Experience with investment analysis, business cases, three statement modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts and modelling outputs to both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
  • A structured and detail‑oriented approach, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Genuine curiosity about how businesses create value and how financial drivers influence performance.
It would be an advantage if you also have:
  • Experience from financial modelling, valuation, transaction services, project finance or investment environments.
  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy, real estate, data centres or other capital‑intensive industries.
  • Experience using BI tools, financial systems or data analytics solutions.
  • Basic programming, automation or data management skills that can support model development and efficiency improvements.
Who You Are
