Nitor Energy is a fast-growing energy trading company, rapidly moving from start-up to scale-up. We offer opportunities for learning and development with a tight-knit team of traders, coders and analysts.

You’ll work on algorithmic trading across the full stack, from strategy research to production, with direct impact on trading results. You’ll join a specialized environment where ideas move quickly from research to production and collaborate closely with traders and live market decisions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar.
  • Experience with algorithmic trading systems or high-performance applications.
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python, C++, or C#.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and execution drive.
  • Ability to drive solutions from idea to production.
  • Interest in financial markets and live trading environments.
  • Experience with algorithmic trading in continuous markets, market making, ML on tick data, or energy trading is highly relevant.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and deploy algorithmic trading strategies with traders and quants.
  • Backtest, analyze, and validate strategies for performance and robustness.
  • Optimize execution, performance, and reliability of live trading setups.
  • Develop tools and infrastructure for strategy research and live trading.
  • Apply quantitative methods to improve trading performance.
  • Maintain and improve the internal framework for strategy development and monitoring.
  • Contribute to code quality and best practices across the team.
  • Stay updated on market trends and trading technologies.
