Job summary

GN Group is seeking an Audio Product Development Engineer - DSP to port, integrate, and validate audio DSP algorithms on GN headset platforms. You will optimize algorithms for real-time operation across target platforms and contribute to firmware integration and testing.

You will work closely with DSP researchers, firmware engineers, and acoustics specialists to ensure robust performance under production constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of core audio DSP concepts (equalization, FFT, adaptive filters, gain control).
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for analysis, verification, and test automation.
• Proficient in C/C++ development for embedded systems.
• Familiar with fixed-point and floating-point DSP implementations and performance considerations.
• Understanding of hardware-software integration with audio peripherals (ADCs, DACs, I2S/PCM).
• Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Port, integrate, and optimize audio DSP algorithms to target platforms.
• Embed ported algorithms into the firmware stack with defined interfaces.
• Adapt code to target SDKs, toolchains, and audio frameworks while preserving behavior.
• Integrate DSP/HW modules into the audio signal chain and manage data paths.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate DSP blocks and the full chain.
• Debug firmware, hardware registers, memory, and timing issues.
• Calibrate transducers and audio components for unit-to-unit variation.
• Document implementation details, interfaces, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with DSP researchers, FW/SW engineers, and acoustic engineers.
