Job summary

UL LLC seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead our electrical testing lab in Ballerup, Denmark. You will oversee operations, technical performance, and quality while helping develop new testing capabilities and grow the business.

This role favors a strong people leader with experience in ISO/IEC 17025, project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration across international teams; you will mentor staff and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
Proven leadership experience as Laboratory Manager or similar.
Strong ISO/IEC 17025 knowledge and auditing experience.
Project management experience with service development or client projects.
Experience in manufacturing, R&D, testing, or certification environments.
Experience managing budgets and resources.
Strong quality management and audit process understanding.
Excellent stakeholder management and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead daily laboratory activities, workload planning, and resource allocation.
Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of personnel, facilities, and equipment.
Drive implementation of new testing services to meet market needs.
Maintain key customer relationships and support strategic projects.
Ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and other accreditation requirements.
Improve laboratory quality systems, procedures, and documentation.
Lead audits and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and mentor laboratory staff; foster accountability and teamwork.
