Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking an energetic Authorised Person – Electrical to join a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team delivering leading-edge projects. The role emphasizes safety, quality and on-time delivery while nurturing talent through Kirby’s development programmes.

Responsibilities

Engage with SAP on Electrical Safe Systems of Work Procedures.
Mentor/testing planning with commissioning technicians.
Ensure compliance with Electrical Safe Systems of Work across site personnel.
Issue and control Permits for Energised work per SAP guidance.
Attend daily testing and commissioning meetings.
Interpret project drawings and extract electrical requirements.
Follow Electrical Safety Rules and operational procedures.
Interpret basic electrical protection under fault conditions.
Manage safety documentation, lockout/tagout procedures.
Review switchgear distribution topology and controls before start-up.
Coordinate with control system providers (SCADA/BMS/EMS) for handover and permit control.
Support energisation and testing of equipment per plan.
Witness energy tests and ensure proper sign-off.
Verify test equipment availability and calibration.
Maintain information security in line with Kirby ISMS.
