Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lead Technology Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the successful set-up, configuration, and ongoing support of Stratus. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that the software aligns with our organizational needs and enhances our fabrication processes. This includes setting standards and coordinating with internal teams across the nation. This role is responsible for leading small technology design projects and improvement efforts, including testing new technology for implementation, specifically the implementation of Stratus. Occasional travel to divisional offices and shops will be required.

What you’ll do:

Configuration and Deployment

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Stratus configurations.
  • Help to lead the deployment process, including software installation, database setup, and customizations.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and data sources.
  • Analyze shop workflows to identify locations for Stratus access points within our fabrication shops.
  • Work with cross-functional IT teams to setup and deploy computer equipment capable of accessing Stratus in the shops.

User Training and Support

  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions for end-users including Project Managers, Field Foreman, Detailers and Spoolers, BIM Support, and Shop Personnel.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, addressing configuration-related queries and troubleshooting issues.
  • Serve as a liaison to Stratus for support requests that require escalation.

Change Management

  • Implement/Manage change control processes to manage software updates, enhancements, and modifications.
  • Communicate changes to relevant teams and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Work with end users to scope requested changes to workflows or configurations within the software.
  • Develop documentation for proposed changes to configurations or workflows.

Collaboration and Documentation

  • Collaborate with software developers and vendors to address configuration-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, customizations, and best practices.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Strong experience with Stratus indicating a history of successful implementation and support at an enterprise level.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and Fabrication CADMEP.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, Mechanical Piping, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Electrical detailing, spooling, and fabrication workflows.
  • Understanding of plumbing, pipefitting, and sheet metal shop workflows and practices.
  • Effective communication skills to gather requirements and share updates with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work closely with design, fabrication, and technology teams to align efforts.
  • Experience with any of the following software applications is not required, but a plus:
    • Autodesk Content Catalog
    • Autodesk Construction Cloud
    • Autodesk Navisworks Manage
    • Naviate Fabrication and/or MEP
  • Knowledge or experience with the following processes is not required, but a plus:
    • Total station exports and point layout processes
    • 3D Coordination using Navisworks
    • Knowledge of manufacturing and shop fabrication processes
  • Preference will be given to candidates in proximity to the following Southland Locations:

What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience leading technology initiatives and/or relevant field or shop experience.
  • Four year degree or applicable experience in similar field.
