Job summary

Gubra is seeking a Head of Data Platform to own the enterprise data platform, connecting scientific, operational, and business data in Hørsholm, Denmark. You will shape architecture, roadmap, and build the data engineering team while staying close to technology for strategic decisions.

Lead design around AWS and Databricks, establish governance, and deliver scalable data products for ML, research, and business users; report to CTO and join leadership team.

Qualifications

• Strong background in data engineering, analytics, or data platforms with leadership experience.
• Ability to own end-to-end platform design and delivery.
• Experience with AWS and Databricks in scalable, governed architectures.
• Familiarity with lakehouse, data mesh or medallion patterns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of a scalable, secure enterprise data platform.
• Build reliable data pipelines and reusable data products for scientists and engineers.
• Define the platform roadmap and drive key architectural decisions.
• Establish governance, security, access controls, and documentation standards.
• Build, mentor, and grow the data engineering team.
• Collaborate with researchers, operations, software engineering and business teams.
