Demant is seeking a Director to lead the Audio group within Audiological Solutions, guiding a global R&D organization of 75 experts in audiology and related engineering. You will set direction, develop leaders, and enable teams to perform at their best, aligning workforce capabilities with the company strategy.

You will collaborate across electronics, software, acoustics, AI, and audiology disciplines while delivering value through SAFe alignment and Lean-Agile principles.

In this role, you will work at the heart of Demant’s innovation, leading the group that creates the world-leading audiological technology used across Demant hearing aids.

The Role

As Director, you will lead the leaders and teams that make up the Audio group—an organization of 75 highly skilled experts. Through your leadership team, you will be accountable for strengthening R&D delivery and ensuring that the organization has the skills, culture, capacity, structure, and ways of working required to succeed.

You will set direction, develop leaders, and enable teams to perform at their best. Building on a strong existing organization and guided by the company strategy, you will prepare the organization for the future.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director of Audiological Solutions , you will:

• Lead and develop an organization of 75 developers and leaders responsible for one of Demant’s core deliveries: world-leading audiology for Demant hearing solutions.
• Lead and develop leaders, providing clear direction and an inclusive environment where people can contribute and grow.
• Be accountable for R&D delivery through your leadership team and organization.
• Partner with SAFe ART leadership to create transparency, remove systemic barriers, and deliver value.
• Translate company strategy into clear priorities and action.
• Build the skills and competencies, and allocate the capacity, needed to deliver the roadmap and secure long-term success—with innovation as a key priority.
• Build a culture rooted in innovation, trust, collaboration, and the ambition to lead audiology.

About You

You are an experienced people leader with a strong record of helping teams perform and grow. You have likely led leaders, either directly or indirectly. You create clarity, share accountability, and empower others to make decisions.

You communicate clearly, listen well, and build alignment across functions and organizational levels. You approach complex problems with curiosity and sound judgment, and you work effectively in a matrix organization.

You understand R&D delivery and can connect people, skills, capacity, quality, and ways of working with product and technology roadmaps. Familiarity with Lean-Agile leadership and SAFe is valuable, as is the ability to combine a strategic perspective with practical delivery insight.

You bring considerable leadership experience, hold a higher technical education, and have preferably experience within audiology or related areas. Fluency in English is required.
