Job summary

Flatpay is a fast-growing Nordic fintech hiring a Data Engineer to design, build and maintain the data platform powering insights and daily operations. You’ll develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, manage data models, and improve CI/CD, monitoring, and architecture.

You’ll collaborate with analysts and engineers to turn business requirements into robust data solutions that help Flatpay move faster and smarter.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Strong Python and SQL skills in production environments
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT design and data modeling principles
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, version control (Git), and testing best practices
• Ability to think logically and systematically when building pipelines
• Proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
• Business-level proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Design and write maintainable, scalable, and testable data solutions
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
• Collaborate with the team to develop, test, and deploy new functionality and improvements
• Continuously enhance our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure
• Lead and take ownership of projects within the team
• Contribute to building and maintaining internal libraries and shared platform components
• Actively participate in improving systems from an architectural and performance standpoint
