Job summary

Hamamatsu Photonics A/S in Denmark is seeking a Data & AI Platform Engineer to shape our next generation of digital capabilities. You will design and develop data platforms, data warehouses, and analytics solutions that enable automation and AI adoption across the organization.

You will collaborate with ERP, BI, and application teams to transform data into actionable insights, building integrations between Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and other systems.

Qualifications

• Experience as data engineer, analytics engineer, data warehouse developer or similar role.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Understanding of modern data engineering principles, governance and security.
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Databricks, Azure data services and Python.

Responsibilities

• Build the foundation for AI design: design, build and maintain enterprise data platforms, data warehouses and semantic models.
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to make trusted data available across the organization.
• Enable intelligent applications and automation: integrate Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services, APIs and external platforms.
• Partner with stakeholders to turn challenges into data-driven solutions and promote best practices for data & AI adoption.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Data & AI Platform Engineer to help shape our next generation of digital capabilities. In this role, you'll design and develop modern data platforms, integrations, and analytics solutions that empower automation, AI adoption and intelligent business processes across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders, ERP specialists, process owners, BI developers, and application teams to transform data into actionable insights and create scalable solutions that unlock the value of AI. This is more than a traditional data engineering role. You'll play a key part in building the infrastructure and capabilities that allow the business to leverage technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, machine learning, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics.

What You'll Do

Build the Foundation for AI Design, build, and maintain enterprise data platforms, data warehouses, and semantic models. Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that make trusted data available across the organization. Ensure data quality, governance, security, and documentation are embedded into all solutions. Drive data accessibility.

Enable Intelligent Applications & Automation: Develop integrations between Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure services, manufacturing systems, APIs, and external platforms to gather data. Support the development of AI-enabled applications and business solutions. Empower Analytics & Business Decisions: Deliver trusted datasets for reporting, dashboards, and self-service analytics. Design scalable data models that support both operational reporting and AI-driven insights.

Partner with business stakeholders to turn challenges into data-driven solutions. Promote best practices for data and AI adoption throughout the organization.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, Data Warehouse Developer, Application Developer, or similar role.
• Strong SQL and data modeling.
• Understanding of modern data engineering principles, governance, and securit.
• Experience with one or more technologies like Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake or DBT, Azure Data Services, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python, C#, Databricks (optional).
• Nice to Have: Experience building and maintaining cloud-based data platforms and integration solutions.
• Experience with scalable data architectures and modern data pipelines.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or other ERP platforms.
• Experience with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.
• Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or machine learning concepts.
• Experience exposing and managing enterprise data for AI consumption.
• Power BI experience.
