Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Project QC Engineer to join a major data centre project in Milan. You will manage Quality Control deliverables, test packs, walkdowns and handover readiness, ensuring inspections are planned and data is accurate.

This delivery role requires collaboration with construction, commissioning, BIM, EHS, supply chain and client teams. If you value structure, accountability and first‑time quality, you’ll fit in well and help drive successful project handovers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a QC Engineer or quality inspector on large construction projects.
• Exposure to data centres, pharmaceuticals or other regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of inspections, test packs, walkdowns and handover processes.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, SLDs and P&IDs.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working across multidisciplinary site teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage Inspection & Test Plans and inspection checklists.
• Track approvals in line with submittal and construction programmes.
• Monitor weld traceability and NDT requirements.
• Define test pack lists and contents with stakeholders.
• Plan walkdowns using two‑week lookaheads and track planned vs actual performance.
• Carry out internal pre‑test walkdowns using schematics, P&IDs to confirm design compliance.
• Review progress and drive close‑out of issues and snags.
