Job description

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Contract Librarian to join our team in Randers As a Contract Librarian you will be responsible for managing our librarys collection providing reference services and promoting library programs and resources to the community

This is a contract position that offers a competitive salary of $1400 per month While prior experience is not required preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working in a library setting

• Manage the librarys collection by selecting acquiring and organizing materials
• Provide reference services to patrons including assistance with research and resource recommendations
• Promote library programs and resources through outreach efforts such as social media posts and community events
• Collaborate with other librarians and staff to develop new programs and improve existing services
• Maintain accurate records of circulation statistics and other relevant data
• Keep up-to-date with current trends in library science and technology

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Library Science or a related field Masters preferred
• Biometric passport for international travel valid for at least 6 months
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Familiarity with library systems and databases
• Passion for serving the community through access to information
