IKEA Gentofte is seeking a Commercial Activity Specialist for a temporary one-year assignment. The role focuses on planning and delivering engaging events and activities to attract customers and strengthen local ties, while supporting commercial goals.

You will coordinate with the Commercial Activity team and store colleagues to bring events to life, manage a local calendar, and ensure a welcoming, relevant visitor experience. Evening/weekend work is required.

Formación

• Experience in event coordination, project planning, marketing, community engagement, or a similar field.
• Strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to take an idea from concept to execution.
• Confident communication and networking skills, both with internal and external partners.
• Creative, solution-oriented and a “test and try” mindset.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating across many teams and functions.
• Interest in retail, home furnishing and creating value for customers.
• Commercial mindset and motivation to connect activities to visitation, engagement and sales.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate and execute events and activities at IKEA Gentofte.
• Create and maintain a local event and activity calendar based on customer needs, seasonal opportunities, and business priorities.
• Bring events from IKEA’s head office to life locally, ensuring strong execution and excellent customer experience.
• Identify and develop new local activities relevant for IKEA Gentofte and driving visitation and sales.
• Network with local organisations, businesses and community partners to raise IKEA Gentofte’s visibility as a good neighbour.
• Coordinate stakeholders, practical details, communication and follow-up before, during and after each event.
• Collaborate with shopkeepers and co-workers across the store to create engaging activities.
• Evaluate activities, learn from results, and use insights to improve future events and commercial impact.
• Contribute to other commercial activities when needed to support customer engagement and sales.
