Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist. As a Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various structures, such as buildings, bridges, and roads. Your primary role will be to ensure that these structures are safe, durable, and able to withstand environmental factors. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods. You must also have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to effectively communicate your ideas and designs to a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting site investigations to gather information for design purposes
• Preparing detailed design drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Analyzing survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects
• Performing complex calculations using specialized software to ensure structural integrity
• Collaborating with architects, construction contractors, and other professionals involved in the project
• Ensuring that all designs comply with relevant codes and regulations
• Overseeing the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications
