Job summary

Ramboll in Odense, Denmark is seeking a Chief Engineer for our Power Systems department to lead LV/MV electrical design for industrial and energy projects.

You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams, own the technical scope, mentor engineers, prepare specs, support procurement, and contribute to FEED, detailed engineering and project delivery.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in Power Systems and LV/MV engineering.
• Experience independently managing projects and engineering teams.
• Commercial mindset and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of low voltage & medium voltage systems according to relevant standards and regulations.
• Lead the technical scope including guiding smaller/mid-size engineering teams.
• Act as the client’s technical advisor and Owners Engineer.
• Prepare technical specifications for power transformers, switchgear, cables, earthing and lightning protection.
• Provide technical input and support procurement processes, including clarifications during project execution.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests.
• Participate in sales and proposal work.

Job DescriptionAre you an experienced electrical engineer with expertise across high, medium and low voltage systems? Would you like to take a leading technical role in complex industrial and energy projects while working closely with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams?We are looking for a Chief Engineer to join our Power Systems department and contribute to projects focused on the electrification of process industries.Your new roleIn this role, you will take technical responsibility for electrical and power system solutions across high, medium and low voltage. You will work on projects within areas such as industrial plants, power plants, Power-to-X and oil and gas.Our work spans different stages of project development, from early concepts and feasibility studies through FEED and detailed engineering to follow-on engineering.You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, assess technical options and develop solutions suited to their projects. You will draw on your own engineering expertise together with specialist knowledge from across Ramboll to provide technically sound and well-founded advice.Depending on the size and complexity of the project, you will lead the technical scope and coordinate smaller to mid-sized engineering teams.
