Om stillingenJoin a cross-Nordic team shaping strategic solutions for institutional clientsDanske Bank’s Institutional Banking division is a central part of Large Corporates & Institutions (LC&I), working closely with Asset Management, Markets, Transaction Banking and Investment Banking to deliver high-quality solutions and advice to large and complex institutional clients.In Strategy & Solutions, we support this ambition by combining strategic insight, market understanding and analytical capabilities to identify opportunities, develop tailored client solutions and strengthen Danske Bank’s institutional client franchise across the Nordics.The team has a cross-Nordic mandate and is currently based in Copenhagen and Stockholm. We are now looking to strengthen the team with a new colleague based in Copenhagen. You will be part of an ambitious team where individual ownership is high, collaboration is central and each team member is expected to make a meaningful contribution. The role offers broad exposure to institutional clients, senior stakeholders within the bank and a broad array of topics and themes in the financial markets.

The role:

• You will have an analytically based and client-oriented role, where you will conduct innovative analytical work, leveraging your strong quantitative skills and analytical mindset to deliver solutions to the client base.
• The teams is a cross-asset and cross-divisional oriented team. We collaborate with the various product and sales teams of the bank and has exposure across several of the divisions of the bank like: Markets, Asset Management and Institutional Banking
• You will contribute to both idea generation, more thematic projects and client-specific solutions addressing specific challenges, with a strong focus on creating value for Nordic institutional investors.
• You will help develop solutions that take into account product characteristics, regulation, liquidity, portfolio impact, and broader client objectives.

What we are looking for in the candidate:

• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, supported by a structured and curious mindset.
• A master’s degree or Ph.D. in economics, finance, mathematics or a similar relevant field.
• Five to seven years of experience from the financial industry.
• Previous experience from research, structuring, investment banking, asset management, the buy side or a similar analytical environment.
• Strong coding skills in Python.
• Strong communication, presentation and writing skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to an audience.
• Commercial instinct and the ability to identify client-relevant needs and opportunities.
• Fluency in English and native or fluent professional proficiency in one or more Nordic languages, such as: Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and/or Finnish.

Additional qualifications that would be an advantage

• Knowledge of financial regulation, including Basel, Solvency, TYEL, IORP or other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of treasury functions, bank liquidity or balance sheet management.
• Knowledge of portfolio optimisation and portfolio theory.
• Experience with institutional investors, asset allocation, risk management or client advisory.
