Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of crane operation experience, a valid crane operator certification, and the ability to read plans and communicate clearly with the ground crew.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating cranes in a construction or industrial setting.
• Valid crane operator certification from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures for crane operation.
• Ability to read project plans and instructions accurately.
• Physically fit and able to work in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cranes such as mobile, tower, or crawler cranes according to safety regulations and best practices.
• Inspect crane equipment before each use and report any defects or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
• Communicate with other workers on the ground using hand signals or radios to ensure safe and accurate movement of materials.
• Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to determine the proper placement of materials.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust crane operations as needed for safety purposes.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cranes as necessary.
• Keep detailed records of crane operations including weight lifted and time spent on each task.
