Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is recruiting a Campus Logistics Manager for a Denmark Data Centre project. You’ll orchestrate on-site and near-site storage, coordinate deliveries, and manage vertical transport to keep the build moving on time and within budget.

You’ll work with multiple subcontractors, security and crane teams to ensure smooth logistics, occupancy, access, and movement. A proactive, organized mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong communication to coordinate subcontractors and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Map and control on-site and near-site storage areas.
• Decide storage space allocation based on project priorities.
• Run the delivery booking system with precision and efficiency.
• Ensure deliveries occur only when space is available.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and security for timely deliveries.
• Create and enforce a call-off system to keep flows moving.
• Monitor vertical transport capacity to avoid idle cranes.
• Lead weekly delivery coordination meetings and track actions.
• Serve as the link between perimeter security and inside operations.
• Coordinate with Crane Coordinator to keep lifts smooth.
• Manage accommodation and vehicle needs for site employees.

Campus Logistics Manager – Denmark Data Centre Project

Some construction roles are vague. This isn’t one of them.
If you like keeping chaos at bay, knowing exactly where everything is going, and making sure 50 different subcontractors don’t all try to deliver at 9:00am on Tuesday “because that’s when they always deliver” — keep reading.

We’re building a major data centre in Denmark. Big project, tight footprint, lots of moving parts. We need a Site Logistics Manager who can keep the whole thing flowing without the place turning into a car park with cranes.

This isn’t just about organising storage space (though you’ll do plenty of that). It’s about being the nerve centre of site movement — materials, deliveries, vertical transport, access, security, the whole lot. If you enjoy orchestrating a site so well that people think you’ve got psychic powers, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

(Not the fluffy version — the real version.)

• Mapping, defining, and controlling all on‑site and near‑site storage areas.
• Deciding who gets what storage space, based on project priorities — not who shouts the loudest.
• Running the web‑based delivery booking system like a small but efficient airport.
• Making sure deliveries only happen when there’s somewhere to put the stuff.
• Working closely with subcontractors and security so deliveries arrive when they should, not when they feel like it.
• Creating and enforcing a call‑off system that keeps everything flowing and doesn’t block access routes.
• Keeping track of vertical transportation plant capacity so cranes and hoists don’t sit idle while materials sit in the wrong place.
• Helping run the weekly delivery coordination meeting — and owning every action item that comes out of it.
• Acting as the link between security at the perimeter and the controlled chaos inside the hoarding line.
• Coordinating with the Appointed Person/Crane Coordinator to keep lifts smooth and efficient.
• Handling accommodation and vehicle requirements for site employees — leases, trackers, troubleshooting, the works.

In short: You’ll be the person who knows what’s coming, when it’s coming, how it’s getting in, where it’s going, who’s moving it, and what happens next.

• Experience managing logistics on a live construction site (data centre experience a bonus).
• A tolerance for complexity — and an intolerance for disorganisation.
• Strong communication skills (some might call this “telling people no” politely).
• The ability to think three steps ahead because everything on this site affects everything else.
• A mindset that treats logistics as the circulatory system of a project — not an afterthought.
