Job summary

NORDEN is hiring a Bunker Manager in Copenhagen to support the Atlantic bunker desk. You will manage inquiries, negotiate contracts, and contribute to post-fixture optimization while sharpening market awareness to drive commercial decisions across voyages.

You will work with operators, charterers, and risk-management specialists across global offices, bringing market insight to negotiations and helping shape bunker strategy with decarbonisation considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience within bunker trading or procurement.
• Understanding pricing mechanisms, benchmarks and premiums.
• Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers.
• Strong commercial judgement and market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage inquiries and day-to-day trading or sourcing.
• Negotiate bunker contracts and terms with senior colleagues.
• Contribute to post-fixture optimisation across voyages and trades.
• Handle bunker-related claims (quantity, quality, delays).
• Engage directly with suppliers and counterparties in the Atlantic market.
• Work closely with chartering, operations and global bunker colleagues.
• Explore decarbonisation topics and new supply structures.
• Occasional business travel as needed.
