Create Solutions that Enable a Sustainable Future

At COWI, we partner with our customers to shape a sustainable and liveable world. We deliver some of the world's most complex and innovative projects, supporting the energy transition while enabling the digital infrastructure that powers modern society.

As our new Associate Technical Director – Power Systems Analysis, you will provide technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects, including renewable energy, transmission and distribution networks, grid infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and data centre developments. You will join a highly skilled team, with the majority of our Power Systems specialists based in Lyngby, Denmark, collaborating closely across regions to deliver high-quality solutions. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, building client relationships, mentoring technical specialists, and driving business growth across both the energy and digital infrastructure sectors.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the delivery of complex power systems analysis projects across renewable energy, grid infrastructure, BESS, and data centres.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Perform and oversee power system studies, ensuring high-quality and reliable technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, supporting technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across global teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and contributing to strategic growth.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future. Like us, you believe that leadership success comes from setting a clear and meaningful direction for your team and supporting them in taking ownership of their work. You always delegate responsibility and ensure an open and safe dialogue, and you coach your people to achieve their aspirations through constructive, fact-based feedback. Attracting and nurturing a diverse group of high-performing team members is at the top of your agenda, as is creating an inclusive, caring and trusting culture in your team.

On top of that, you will have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience delivering power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, stability, harmonics, and grid connection assessments.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSS®E.
