Job summary

Nordic Sustainability invites applications for an Associate Consultant internship based in Copenhagen for spring 2027. You will join a sustainability-focused consultancy, work on diverse client assignments, and help develop internal processes under close coaching.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within the EU.
  • Must be able to obtain a Danish work permit if not Danish.
  • Internship starts January 2027 and lasts about six months; on-site in Copenhagen.
  • Must live in Copenhagen or be willing to relocate (no relocation support).
  • Must obtain Danish CPR and bank account before start date.

Responsibilities

  • Run independent project tasks with oversight from a project manager.
  • Contribute to report writing, stakeholder management, outreach, event planning, and ad hoc office tasks.
  • Support internal process improvements and work on client projects.
  • Assist in growing client contacts.

Nordic Sustainability is a value-based consultancy firm working at the intersection of strategy and sustainability. We are seeking Associate Consultants (internship) for the spring of 2027. Based in our Copenhagen office, the internship will allow you to be a part of our team and experience various consulting assignments with our Nordic and international clients. You’ll also get to help with developing our internal processes further.

As an intern, you will serve as a full-time member of our team and receive day-to-day coaching in a culture that is focused on direct and clear feedback. We have an environment that is strongly based on trust, and we do our best to get our work done within a four-day work week when business demands allow for it, with the ambition of having a lot of fun along the way.

  • Written English at a native or comparable level. Fluency in Danish is a strong asset, but not a requirement
  • Good interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude
  • Previous consulting experience or other relevant experience from the corporate sector, preferably within sustainability-related areas in an asset but not a requirement
Your responsibilities
  • We expect you to be able to run independent processes within projects with oversight of a project manager
  • We expect you to contribute to report writing, stakeholder management, outreach, event planning , and ad hoc office tasks.
  • We expect you to take on both internal tasks that help us streamline and improve our internal processes as well as work on client projects
  • We expect you to be interested in growing client contacts

Requirements

You must be studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the European Union. We do not accept candidates who have already graduated or will be graduating during the internship.

  • If you are not a Danish student, you must be able to acquire a valid work permit that allows for Danish employment prior to the starting date
  • The internship is planned to start in early January and will last for approximately six months. You must be able to work in office during the full internship
  • You live in Copenhagen or are willing to relocate for the duration of the internship. We unfortunately are not able to offer any relocation support
  • You must be able to acquire a Danish CPR and a Danish bank account prior to your starting date. Any application that does not fulfil these requirements will not be considered for the position.
The internship is paid. The monthly salary is approximately €1,100.

Climate & Nature The climate team assists our clients with climate related assessments, strategy, circularity, GHG assessments and develop the skills needed to effectively drive implementation. Teams working language is English

Strategy, Reporting & Policy The SRP team assists our clients achieve CSRD/ESRS compliance and develop a clear vision, set KPI targets and translate these into a roadmap of initiatives to achieve them. Teams working language is English.
