Job summary

Aarhus University invites applications for a 17-month fixed-term assistant professor position in transposon and germline genome regulation within the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics.

The successful candidate will coordinate and perform experimental and analytical work in the group led by Associate Professor Peter Ebert Andersen, coordinating daily activities with team members and contributing to publications and grant applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in gene regulation and germline biology with a strong publication record.
• Experience using Drosophila as a model organism.
• Deep knowledge of Drosophila germline development and gene regulation.
• Expertise in molecular biology techniques, including preparation of genomics libraries.
• Publication experience, including corresponding author work.
• Track record of international research collaborations.
• Strong English communication (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experimental work using Drosophila melanogaster and various genomics and proteomics methods.
• Analyse data produced by you and others in the group.
• Contribute to writing research papers and research proposals.
