Job summary

What You'll Bring

• A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, such as mechanical, electronic or biomedical engineering.
• Ideally one to three years of relevant experience from medical devices, the pharmaceutical industry or another regulated engineering environment.
• A collaborative and flexible mindset, with the ability to listen to different viewpoints and navigate a complex stakeholder landscape.
• Curiosity and a structured problem-solving approach, enabling you to investigate complex issues without being discouraged by uncertainty.
• Professional proficiency in English; Danish is not required.

Useful, but not essential:

Experience with design control, medical device development or ISO 11608.

What You'll Do

You will join a team responsible for medical device development and lifecycle management. The work combines technical depth with cross-functional coordination, and no two weeks look the same. Your key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to medical device development and lifecycle management activities in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Supporting design control, risk management, technical documentation and regulatory compliance throughout relevant product lifecycle phases.
• Investigating complex technical issues, identifying possible solutions and helping the team make well-founded decisions.
• Collaborating with colleagues across Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, project management and supplier-facing functions.
• Participating in design reviews, risk assessments and cross-functional coordination, balancing quality, patient safety, timelines and business needs.

Who You'll Work With

You will join an international department in Hillerød consisting of approximately 50 colleagues across three interconnected teams. The teams work with development projects, maintenance activities and platform solutions, combining specialised focus with collaboration across organisational boundaries. You will have a base in one team, with project needs creating opportunities to contribute elsewhere.

Your closest partners include colleagues in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, project management and supplier-facing functions. In Global Manufacturing & Supply, colleagues work across the value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo Nordisk products, scaling molecules, processes, devices and products for the people who need them.

The role is a one-year temporary contract, and you will receive the training needed to build your knowledge of products, processes and ways of working. You do not need to arrive as a fully developed specialist — what matters is a solid engineering foundation and the motivation to learn, ask questions and explore different perspectives.

As a rule of thumb, colleagues work four days per week from the office and one day from home.

Salary:

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 570,200 to 838,100 DKK (DK), corresponding to the level of the position. The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate's skills, competencies, knowledge and relevant experience.
