The Department of Biomedicine at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Aarhus University invites applications for a position of Administrative Research Theme Coordinator, starting on 1 January 2027. The position is a permanent, full-time position.

As Administrative Research Theme Coordinator your main responsibility is to provide administrative support to the four Research Theme Coordinators and help coordinate activities across the four research themes at the department. You will work closely with each of the Research Theme Coordinators to plan activities, coordinate tasks, follow up on agreed actions, and help with the day-to-day running and development of the themes.
An important part of the role is to stay on top of what is happening in the themes and anticipate where support or coordination may be needed. You take initiatives, follow tasks through, and make it easier for the Research Theme Coordinators and theme members to get things done. You will also help coordinate activities across themes and ensure relevant information is shared with the department.
You will work closely with the four Research Theme Coordinators, the department’s management consultant, and other relevant administrative and academic staff in the department or at the faculty.
In the Administrative Research Theme Coordinator function, you will be responsible to the Research Theme Coordinators with a formal reference to Head of Department.
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic background and solid knowledge of and experience from an academic research environment.
As a person, you enjoy a busy and outgoing role with many different tasks and contacts across the department. You are curious about people and interested in understanding different perspectives. You are aware of how you communicate and able to adapt your approach to different roles and situations.
Engagement and dedication are important in this role. You enjoy making things happen and helping others. You are organized and reliable, and you are comfortable working independently while knowing when to involve others.
You communicate well with both academic and administrative colleagues, and we expect you to be fluent in oral and written English.

Terms of employment and pay are regulated by the collective agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and Academics in the State. You will be employed as an academic staff member at basic salary grades 4–8 or as Special Consultant.
